I need help locating a monograph

I need help locating a book or monograph.

Answer

There are definitely ways that you can still access monographs from the library.  Basically, monographs are the same as print books or e-books (e-books are simply books that are available digitally and remotely).

Getting a book in print would require you to be on campus.  If you are on campus, there are instructions in how to request and pick up a print book from just inside the library at https://oneonta.libanswers.com/faq/291467

The other way is to access the monograph through the e-book collection on the library's website.  From the Library's website, I would suggest doing the advanced search (that way you can type in a number of search terms, or specify title or author etc.)  When the list of results comes up, scroll down a little.  You will notice a number of ways to narrow the search on the left.  Under Availability, click "Available Online."  Then, under Resource Type, choose "Book."  This will give you the list of books available on the topic.  If these options don't appear, there may be none, and you will have to broaden your search terms.  Then, to access the e-book (and to find out more information about it), you would click on the title of the book.  Under "View Online" you will see a number of databases that will give you access to the e-book; click on one of these.  You may be asked to enter your SUNY Oneonta login and password if you didn't already sign in.  From here, you should see links for PDF access and full downloads.

If at any point you have any questions along the way, please feel free to contact us at https://oneonta.libanswers.com/.

Best wishes to you!
